Bethany awarded NIHR SSCR Career Development Award for social care research

Congratulations to our Research Fellow, Dr Bethany Morgan Brett, who has been awarded an NIHR School for Social Care Research (SSCR) Care Research Career Development Award!

A Career Development Award provides practitioners and researchers with funding and time to undertake personalised programmes of training and development to reach their research career goals.

Bethany says:

“This award from the NIHR SSCR will provide me with the dedicated time and space over the next two years to advance my research skills, build knowledge partnerships with key practitioners and academic collaborators, and ultimately develop inclusive, ethical, and co-produced approaches to social care research.

Working with practitioners and academics to develop these research and communication skills, and being able to test these out in care settings, will be vital for creating future research, which is collaborative, inclusive, and co-created.

I am excited to have been awarded this opportunity and to begin this work with the people and partners who will shape it.”
