Our vision is a world where all care homes for older people are great places to live, die, visit and work

Welcome to the first of our new monthly updates, sharing the great work that care homes are doing and other top tips.

This month, managers share their plans for this year’s Care Home Open Day, on Friday 19th June…

  • Lesley says: “We’re setting up stalls around the home; raffle, tombola, guess-the-sweets in the jar/weight of the cake – good for fundraising and fun!”
  • Maggie says: “We’ve had photos taken of all residents and staff smiling to make ‘miles of smiles’ bunting to decorate the home”
  • Sean says: “What about an event like ‘premiere night’ – red carpet at the entrance and asking everyone to come dressed in their best.”

Read all the tips on the Good Practice blog on our new website and keep sending us your great stories!

If you’ve not yet registered for Care Home Open Day, there’s still time! Head to their website.

Next month – we take a look at the new My Home Life app!

All the best,
The My Home Life Team
